Q: Do essential oils go bad?
A: No not really. They are more like wine, they get better as they get older. As you use the essential oil and it becomes less in the bottle you want to transfer the Essential oil into a smaller bottle because it won't be exposed to so much air, which can weaken the strength.
Q: Is diffusing essential oils in your home bad for pets?
A: Yes. Especially birds and cats, they have so many sensories that it interferes with their sensor. You should only diffuse oils in a general location like a bathroom where you can shut the door and have access to the exhaust fan, so you can leave it on when you are done. But keep your home aired out so that the essential oils don't affect your pets, Essential oils can also affect small children. Take caution.
Q: Is clove essential oil good for babies teething?
A: Yes, but you need to test it on yourself before you apply it to your childs gums. Take a teaspoon of Olive oil and set it on the counter. Add 1 drop, at a time to the added strength that you want. Stir it with a toothpic or coffee stir and test it on your own gums first till you have the right numbness.
Q: What are base carriers?
A: Water like a foot soak or bath tub, aloe vera, favorite lotion, favorite cream, jojoba oil, grape seed oil or any kind of cosmetic grade oil, even castor oil, black sead oil. Because some essential oils cannot be put on full strength to the skin and have to use a carrier to administer it on the body through osmosis.
Q: Can essential oils calm nerves?
A: Yes. Essential oils enhance healing and soothe the emotions. When the essential oils are inhaled, the "olfactory nerve" registers the pleasant scent The "limbic system and the brain responds with feelings of relaxation and pleasure. It can affect the subconscious as well as the conscious mind. For instance, when smelling spoiled food, our brain immediately recognizes the danger to the body and we throw it away; perhaps you have experienced a certain smell that reminds you of a wonderful feeling or place.
Q: Are Tinctures a difficult process in your Tincture class?
A: Not really. In this class you will learn how you can customize herbs to make your own tinctures for cellular herbal support. There are 3 different processes in making Tinctures and you will learn this in the class.
Q: In your Aromatherapy class, do you give a certification for Aromatherapy with essential oils?
A: Yes, it's all done with essential oils and carrier's. There are other courses out there, but the way I teach the class is a Basic Honorary Aromatherapy certification. You learn the history, and what is all entailed in Aromatherapy, the 3 notes, the applications and safety precautions, as well as the Do's and Don’t's, with a Aromatherapy Kit provided.
Q: If I'm looking for a specific essential oil and I can't find it. Is there any way to search for it, or can you find it for me?
A: Yes, that can be arranged. I do deal with a broker and also another source that might be able to help you out. Just tell me the name of the essentialOil, and I'll hunt it down for you and get the best price that's available.
Q: Can you customize remedy blends?
A: Yes I can. I do that because some people are allergic to some essential oils. In fact, I have clients that are allergic to aloe vera. Just let me know what the situation is and I will do the research and catch up with you and let you know what I can put together for you.
Q: Can you be on a Bach Flower Essence regimen, along with an herbal tincture regimen?
- A: Yes, it can be done. I muscle test everyone whenever they have any sessions with me. That way we find out what's the best support you may need at that time. Also I do that as well as with the Iridology Analysis Sessions.
